Formation flying – man vs jet fighter

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011
Can a man fly on his own with two jet fighters alongside him ? Say again ? Yves Rossi, whose nickname is “The Jetman”, has just done that. And this is simply mind-blowing. Yves Rossi is not your traditional thrill seeking crazy man. For one thing, he is 52 years old, so one could say he has reached wise age. He has been a military pilot, flying Hawker Hunter and Mirage III with the Swiss Air Force, and then flying as an airline pilot. But The Jetman always had the dream of flying the more naRead More....

In the cockpit of the F-16

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011
If you are crazy about jet fighters, you will love this video. Take a tour of an F-16 with test pilot Desmond. He gives an introduction to the cockpit and instruments. The General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon is a multirole jet fighter aircraft originally developed by General Dynamics for the United States Air Force(USAF). Designed as an air superiority day fighter, it evolved into a successful all-weather multirole aircraft. Over 4,400 aircraft have been built since production was approved in Read More....

A (very) short history of jet fighters

Thursday, November 10th, 2011
A (very) short history of jet fighters. We love to fly a jet fighter. Fighter aircrafts are amazing machines, powerful, fast, yet delicate and precise, requiring concentration, physical fitness and mental sharpness. For years, fighter pilots have had to adapt to their changing aircrafts, from biplanes to flying the F-22 Raptor. So here is a very short history of jet fighters and their evolution with time. Fighters were developed in World War I to deny enemy aircraft and dirigibles the abilityRead More....

What is a jet fighter

Tuesday, October 11th, 2011
A fighter jet is a military aircraft designed primarily for air-to-air combat with other aircraft, as opposed to a bomber, which is designed primarily to attack ground targets. The hallmarks of a fighter are its small size, speed and maneuverability. Many fighters have secondary ground-attack capabilities, and some are dual-roled as fighter-bombers. It is not unusual for aircraft that do not fulfill the standard definition to be labelled or described as fighters. This may be for politicial or naRead More....

We are doing the Pontoise Airshow

Monday, July 18th, 2011
We are very excited as we are going to participate to the Pontoise Airshow, held in September 2011. This is our second participation to this specific airshow with the L39 Albatros. We are particularly pleased as it is our home base for the L39. Lots of people will attend and great pilots will participate. The Patrouille de France, the French national display team will be there, as well as the feminine aerobatic world champion. The Rafale should be on display, as will our Read More....

We are getting a new jet fighter

Monday, May 23rd, 2011
We are very excited to announce that we are currently in the process of acquiring a new jet fighter – L39 Albatros – to be stationed in Bordeaux. This is exciting as this will allow us to do more jet fighter rides, but also to have more fun flying in formation. The purchase will take a bit of time, as it usually does when buying a plane – this is not a can of beans – and we expect the delivery of the plane towards September. Then the jet fighter will go under testing to ensure full secuRead More....

Congratulations to Solar Impulse

Monday, May 16th, 2011
We would like to say Congratulations to Bertrand Piccard for his success in the 1st international flight of Solar Impulse. Although his aim is to demonstrate that solar power – green energy – can actually power airplanes is a bit “opposite” to what we actually do – flying jet fighters – we think Friday 13th May will remain as a milestone in aviation history. Solar Impulse took off from Payerne in Switzerland and flew almost 13 hours to land in Brussels, the capital of Belgium. By airRead More....

Jet fighter video along the cliffs

Friday, March 18th, 2011
We love to fly our jet fighter in Northern France as we can get really close to the cliffs. There are also many aerobatics axis where we can do many maneuvers. Check out this short video. The jet fighter ride is done in a Fouga Magister, one of the most agile jets ever made. It is recognizable by its V shaped tail. Twin engined, it is also one of the safest jet fighter to fly. And the bonus point is the large glass canopy for a great view of the scenery. Read More....

Aerobatics in a jet fighter

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011
Flying a jet fighter is a great experience, as long you as you get to experience some aerobatics to truly feel the plane. And the simplest maneuver you can experience is the barrel roll. The great thing about this figure is that anyone, with any plane, can achieve it. It is so easy and so un-dangerous that even commercial airliners can do it. As a matter of fact, the test pilot of the Boeing 727 did a barrel roll in front of the crowd dRead More....

TV presenters flying jet fighters

Friday, February 18th, 2011
Many TV crews come to us to do some reports with our jet fighters. Recently we had two TV presenters, Luc Gilson from the Belgian TV, and Steve Backshall from the BBC. Both took the very hard bet to present their shows whilst actually flying and doing maneuvers. This is very difficult to do because you would need to focus on your text, what to say, and sustaining the Gs at the same time. This can be tricky. Overall all went well, it always does, and it is a fun day out for us. However we have toRead More....
